Chocolate Eggers!

These are the dark brown layers. This flock is a combination of blue, black, and splash copper marans along with welsummers, black tail red marans, and french black marans. A good majority of them will be pure blue black or splash marans however this flock is put together to focus on beautiful brown eggs! The shades of brown will vary from about a 6 to an 8 on the maran color scale. You’ll even get some speckles thanks to the welsummers. If you want lots of speckles please request them at checkout! These chickens are sourced from very dark egg laying lines such as Burberry homestead, Breanne white, and Flock on the Forty.

Purchase limit is 2 dozen eggs total per order. If you purchase more than 2 dozen eggs I will have to split them up to ensure egg freshness. I will contact you for additional shipping costs for more than 2 dozen order. Please don’t order 1 chick, it needs friends to avoid stress. Minimum 4 chicks total.

Chicks are Pickup only and Straight Run ! Pickup for chicks and eggs are in Port Republic Maryland. I will contact you before your order is ready so that we can discuss a pickup time and location. If you do not respond or pickup your chicks within 1 week (or agreed pickup date) I will move on to the next order and you can contact me at a later time to add your name back to the list.

WHEN WILL YOUR ORDER BE READY? In the order in which it was received and availability of your purchase. These are pre-order eggs and chick deposits, this means they could be available in days, weeks, or months depending on availability. I will contact you before the estimated availability date. You’ll have a chance to tell me a little about your ideal times at checkout. Availability is usually between March and November. PLEASE reply if I reach out to you by email and/or phone, communication makes the world go round! You will have 72 hours to respond before I move on to the next order.
